Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and or Licensed Behavior Specialists (LBS)

ABA/RBT

  • GAMUT is looking for qualified people to work with students with disabilities (ages 3 through school aged) in the school setting.

  • The ABA/RBT works one-on-one with a child implementing the individualized goals designed and maintained by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and/or Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS).

  • Using the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA), the therapist gathers quantifiable data necessary for the BCBA/LBS to evaluate the effectiveness of the educational plan in achieving goals and objectives. The ABA/RBT is responsible for working with behavior support plans, data collecting, providing assistance with attention issues, redirecting, and reinforcing positive behaviors.

  • Education : A Bachelors degree in a related field (Spec. Ed, Education, or Psychology).

  • Qualifications : ABA experience highly preferred. Must be flexible, motivated to learn and able to work well with others, have a valid driver's license and access to a car.

  • Hours : Part time, Monday through Friday, during the educational hours of 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. No nights or weekends

  • Location : Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs

  • Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal Background Check, FBI fingerprinting, CPR/First Aid, Liability insurance required before starting.

Paraprofessional

  • GAMUT is looking for qualified people to work with students with disabilities in the school setting. The position is with the Early Intervention population, ages 3-6 years old.

  • The paraprofessional works under the direction of the classroom teacher to provide extra support to students with special needs, promoting maximum academic and personal growth. The paraprofessional works one-on-one with a child implementing the individualized goals designed and maintained by a special education teacher. The paraprofessional gathers quantifiable data necessary for the teacher to evaluate the effectiveness of the educational plan in achieving goals and objectives.

  • Education : A Bachelors degree in a related field (Spec. Ed, Education, or Psychology).

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS :

    ● Board certification and in good standing as a BCBA or BCBA-D or BCaBA
    ● Minimum of 2-3 years of ABA experience including implementation of behavior-reduction plans and skill-building programming for individuals with developmental disorders
    ● Experience in school-based settings
    ● Positive team player
    ● Self-disciplined and able to seek out supervision when necessary
    ● Strong written communication skills
    ● Ability to communicate appropriately under varying conditions
    ● Receptive to feedback
    ● Strictly adheres to HIPAA and FERPA rules and regulations

  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

    ● Case management focusing on high quality implementation
    ● Training and supervision of staff (1:1 therapists and RBTs)
    ● Supporting a culture of clinical excellence
    ● Complete VB-MAPP and FBA evaluations
    ● Develop behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs
    ● Collaborate with all members of client’s team and family in a professional manner
    ● Work on IEP teams including participating in IEP team meetings, consulting and co-treating with related services, and creating and monitoring IEP goals
